Sunset on the hillside Sheyenne National gras
This area was commonly known as the sandhills in the 30's and during the great depression, there was a drought and the winds blew the sand from the hills for miles. The CCC was responsible for planting several shelter belts in the area to minimize the blowing sand/dirt and today the area is very green and productive.
